I created this website to make a place where Citywest residents can check in to keep up to date with developments in the area.
I have lived in Carrigmore since 2005 and I have been very involved in the Carrigmore residents association and in helping to improve the area and in getting the district park in established.
Citywest has grown a lot since 2005 and is still growing very quickly. It is a very important time for us residents to work together and make our voices heard by local authorities and public representatives.
I would like to see the website becoming a focal point, helping us to ensure Citywest is recognized as an important residential district of South Dublin and to ensure developments are well planned, proper infrastructure is provided, parks and public areas are well maintained and the sustainability of the community is prioritised.
In the short term I am glad to spend time setting up and developing the site until it is established. In the medium to longer term I would like to hand it over to a community group with an interest in maintaining and developing it for the benefit of the Citywest community.
